Ray Mears Suite Bagshaw Lodge

Would not consider staying anywhere else on another visit. Positive: Friendly welcome and very efficient staff. Large, very clean room, comfortable bed, excellent rain shower. Big window overlooking the garden and village beyond. A charming and relaxing lounge/reception area in a 400-year-old family house. Negative: Nothing.

Highly recommended. Positive: Bagshaw Hall is an impressive listed building. The location was brilliant - so close to the town. The staff were lovely and very helpful in recommending places to eat etc. The room was clean, had a kitchenette and private bathroom. The view from the window was lovely. Negative: We were on the ground floor and if you had the window in the bathroom open, you could be seen by other guests. There was a blind but we had to keep it down the whole time to avoid this.
