We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend. The views are beautiful and the house is large enough to accomm Positive: The house was very clean. Plenty of seating for the 7 of us staying there. The house was large enough for us. Plenty of parking. We brought 3 cars with us but could have had more. We were also provided a tower fan for each bedroom. Negative: The garden wasn’t enclosed for our dog. So we had to place garden chairs carefully to stop her going into the communal garden which led to a road and on the other side to stop her escaping into the car park area. Would have felt happier with gates either side. The stairs in the property are very steep so be aware if that. We managed. Stair gate provided was broken and didn’t fit at the stairs to stop dog getting up there. Also wouldn’t stop small children going up and down. I suggest perhaps a permanent fixture for safety.

Thornbridge Brewery trip Positive: Lovely old property near centre of Bakewell which was decorated inside to a high standard . Four good size bedrooms, with one on suite and another large bathroom. Large conservatory which was nice to sit in in the evenings . Small garden but had lovely views and plenty of outside seating. Large ,well equipped kitchen with large oven . Lady who met us at property was very welcoming and helpful. Thornbrige Brewery in Bakewell is well worth a visit . Negative: Only a few things that needed attention . Larger bedroom on first floor the curtain rail was loose and needs attention . Toilet roll holder in en suite loose . En suite, the shower hadn't been cleaned properly and some of outside areas needed sweeping as were cigarette ends discarded . Baking trays needed in kitchen .

Lovely property with stunning views a short, steep walk from Bakewell centre. Positive: Stunning location and a lovely property for a large family group or friends. Host was friendly and helpful. We were able to cook meals for our large group in the well equipped kitchen. Plenty of private parking, although it might be quite tight to get a large SUV down the lane leading to the car park. Good walking access to Bakewell itself, although the hill is quite steep for those not so physically able. Negative: We visited on a particularly warm weekend and the attic bedrooms were hot, even with the windows open through the night. Maybe fans could be provided for those rooms during the summer months. Apart from that everything was wonderful!

Wonderful house in a great location Negative: Hooks in the bathroom would’ve been useful for hanging towels on. A single quilt in the cover, rather than a double folder in half - very hot and heavy for sleeping.
