Lovely grounds, old , interesting manor house. Room adequate. Perhaps train staff not to place clean linens on floor car Positive: Location and the old building Negative: The biggest put-off for me was the provided breakfast and seeing the “clean linens “ placed directly on the carpets outside each room. Leaves me wondering what was on the sheets my body and face were on for the night. Breakfast was provided but we had to toast our own bread and make our own coffee from the mass- market packages supplied to the rooms (Bfast was 16 pounds pp for the full english but we did not tale the sausage or ham). I’ve slept in many BnBs for the 6 weeks we were traveling in Europe and the U.K and did not have any of this happen. I don’t know if it’s a normal practice in the U.K but I do like sheets that are not placed on a dirty carpet and decent breakfast I’ve paid for without having to do it myself.
