Devonshire Family Suite Bagshaw Hall

Overall, its a very impressive building with beautiful features in a beautiful location Positive: The location was ideal to visit the town for an evening meal, breakfast and village visit in the morning. Close to car charging points. Negative: In our family room, the toilet was difficult to flush and the main bedroom mattress was extremely soft. When we investigated, the bed was 2 stacked mattresses, not a traditional box spring, then mattress. It made the bed extremely soft and not ideal and unusual.

Great location very clean lovely comfy beds Positive: The location to walk down into Bakewell was amazing 5 - 10 minutes down a walkway. We travelled to Bakewell to visit Chatsworth House event and this accommodation was just what we needed with 3 ladies sharing Negative: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

Unusual and quirky ,a dichotomy. Rooms other than Devonshire look much better . Positive: Divine historical building (1684) Great views Ideal location Breakfast comprised of high quality ingredients Friendly and welcoming hosts Comfortable beds Negative: The Devonshire suite with 2 bedrooms was a little tired and definitely cramped . One loo between 4 people is less than ideal . A huge armchair was placed directly in front of the wardrobe so that access was restricted, which I found bizarre . Much of the wallpaper and wall art is very dated and not at all in keeping with the historical hall , which is a real shame . Breakfast would benefit from a little more cooking time and I would have preferred a dining room, rather than eating in our own room .

Beautiful, centrally located, friendly team, accommodating. Positive: Friendly and helpful manager, beautiful property, centrally located with parking, nice clean rooms, good view. Negative: Liked it all.
